Graphics-card for Medieval 2

can someone recommend a graphic-card that can handle
shader version.3?

Or maybe shader version.2 with Medieval 2 and also able to handle huge settings with many troops.

I would appreciate any help.

and is x1900 xt a good choice for this matter?:hmmm:

If you're looking for a cheap card the 6800GS is a great card and should be able to run medieval total war two with high if not full graphics if the rest of your computer components are up to speed.

Oh and the 6800GS is PCI-E.

Go further than that..get a 7600gs, it will make u more than happy,i got one a while back, its agp and pcie,and best of all it has 512mb of vram. Dont get an ati card unless your a rocket scientist...haha(to much trouble).

The 6800GS actually outperforms the 7600GS.

I have to agree. The 7600GS is more comparable to a 6600GT than a 6800GS/GT.

At least a 7600GS to play M2TW. Decent performance and image quality.

For the price of a 6800GS, $150 on newegg, you can get a 7900GS as long as you can wait for the mail-in rebates.

(PCI-express card)
Plays MTW2 perfectly, although it wouldn't be able to handle a game like bf2142 at high settings w/ anti aliasing on (if its off then its fine).
