    Default Uses for Scythed Chariots?

Does anyone have good tactics concerning the use of Scythed Chariots. I'm having mixed results as Pontus.

Haven't played for some time now so things might have changed but I use them to flank and then tear through the enemies army by pushing them through as many of their units as I can. The biggest problem I've had with them is that you got to baby sit them if you want any effect from them.

Historically the best usage for them is to flank or attack when enemy lines are disorganized. Every frontal attack on prepared enemy ended with huge fail in history.

Too bad you can't just have them run down the side of a unit and let the wheel blade shred them up without actually colliding with the unit.

Well, you can and you can even control them like a car with arrows seriously, press insert so the camera will move behind them and then you can control them with arrows like in Need for Speed ;D

If you handle them manually they can just break through unit ranks on the other side, provided those ranks are not heavy infantry ones.

I don't really use them that much because I hate micromanagement in a game such as this but an effective way to use them is have them create chaos in the enemy's formation then follow up with a cav charge. It usually breaks them (the enemy :p)
