They are man, keep working at them
Those animations are all made by CA and are in the vanilla game. Modders are just changing the DB entries to modify which animations are used when. For example, the Roman infantry movement animation and Triarii kneel animation were both made by CA (for example, the kneeling in defensive testudo or the way Roman soldiers move in combat), it's just that the database tables have been modified so the units use the animations in different circumstances.

If AE is implementing new animations, then the animation Petellius says he has created is the first truly new one in AE.

In terms of truly creating new animations, the only mod I know of that has properly overhauled them to a significant degree is this. I'm also aware than Medieval Kingdoms may be adding new animations to some degree.

I don't have entirely new animations (yet) I just work on re-purposing vanilla ones into 'sets' to more accurately represent what the unit would behave like in and out of combat (i.e the huge animation difference between fanatical barbs and organised romans)
Vespasian's own: Up the Augusta! For Cato!

    Default Re: Causeless's Accusations

Just a collection of Causeless's rants from our forum so they don't clutter up other threads. Since it probably isn't the last time we'll have to deal with this, I'll keep the thread here as a reference and collection. No one can complain they have been silenced, though I don't really think anyone people coming to this forum care at all.

    EDIT:

It amuses me to no end that you'll happily argue along - for extended periods - attempting to counter my points, but the immediate instant I make a point you can't counter (i.e, why you can't just show us a video proving you have these features), you move the posts to a read-only thread to get the last word in.

So - why can't you publicly show a video? Like the many, many other videos of AE that showcase the mod to the public?
PM I received. The point doesn't seem to get through translation with this guy that AE has no obligation and in no way benefits from distracting itself by 'proving' things to him. He never - throughout this thread or any other - has highlighted what we stand to gain by wasting our time doing so. It's a point he continues to ignore as he harps trying to get his way. He says he doesn't need to copy any script. We don't care what his motives are for wanting our script. His last post made it sound like he just wants proof, yet the second we posted our population thread by Hardballer, he was on Steam DEMANDING that we send him a script.

There is no mod around today that would send a disgruntled former team member their latest work to 'prove' something to him. It is, frankly, just a moronic demand.

This would prove me wrong far better than your accusations can, and you've even had a couple months to rush around and get those features implemented Perhaps that's why you are taking so damned long? So you can implement those features which didn't actually exist at the time...?
There are already several proof of concept videos posted by Hardballer. I don't deal with the population script, and even if I did I wouldn't waste my time making anything for the sake of winning some argument with Causeless. I'm not going to ask Hardballer to waste his time on that task, either.

So, the theme here is simply - we don't care about you. We don't care what you think or what you are doing mod wise. It has nothing to do with us and vice versa.

You promised to me, in Steam, that you would prove me wrong. This was after also promising that you would reveal that I was two-faced, if I recall correctly...
You were never promised access to our script or of any sort of 'proof' of anything. I said that I had a mind to post transcripts of your insane rants on Steam and stuff from our Dev forum. I did not because no one really cares about your or this argument. Other team members are already tired of me engaging with you. The posts weren't moved here because you presented such a great argument that we couldn't respond. They were moved because members of our team don't want petty drama associated with the project.
