Can't install SS6.3 (error occured while trying to copy a file)

I can not install SS6.3 on my pc (vista). It is giving me the same error over and over again.

C:\Users\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War Gold\mods\SS6.3\data\unit_models\SS_Templars\textures\SS_pplate_templar.texture
An error occurred while trying to copy a file:
The source file is corrupted.

I can ''Abort'' ''Ignore'' or ''Try again'' after that. I've chosen abort all the time but I can not seem to fix this annoying error.
I've uninstalled MTW completely and tried again (several times) without success. When I google this error with SS added to the search bar I get a couple of hits. Apparently the download I got from the mod can be corrupted or incomplete or so. BUT the strange thing here is; I get the exact same error when I try to install EBII (other file ofc - but the ''error occurred'' thing).

I'm currently downloading SS from another source (Filefront) which is a pain in the ass because it is sooooo slow. Unfortunately the Gamefront source is gone and the torrent gave me the corrupted file thingy. I've reached a point where I'm pretty desperate for help so I hope you guys can help me

I can't even download it from Gamefront anymore, file 2.1 seems to be missing.. great
