    Hello all, been a long time.
    I'm having a CTD when loading a save starting around turn 60 while playing as Isengard. I haven't had this issue with other campaigns, so I don't believe it's installation related, nevertheless, I've tried a reinstall to no avail. Believing that the save was corrupted, I restarted the campaign as Isengard, and sure enough, just before turn 60 it happened again. I've tried all manner of fixes, daylight savings, UAC, turning off autosave and refraining from quicksaves to avoid save corruption, deleting the various files we're supposed to delete (event.dat/idx, the geography one, map.rwm), I've run the cleaner, etc. I'm pretty out of ideas.     Hi I've been having issues with editing where I am able to build units in the export_descr_building.text file.

    I'm trying to make it so that I can train the rhunnic flamethrower units in the bowyer for any town I own. However when I paste "recruit_pool "Rhunnic Flamethrower" 0 0.1 0.999 0 requires factions { venice, }" under the bowyer section nothing happens and i cant recruit the unit in any of my towns or castles. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi! Welcome to the forums!

    The line you pasted is good enough only for retraining. Change 0.999 to a number that at least equals to 1. It's the maximum recruitment pool size. To train 1 unit, the pool has to have reached at least 1.

    Hey guys, disregard that last one. The culprit was actually the "Enhanced MOS Submod" on ModDB that I had forgotten I had installed (I've just gotten back into M2TW after a couple years).

    Just about to fire up TATW+MOS for the first time in probably about 4 years.
    The last time I tried it was the first time I had ever played TATW (or MOS) and it was probably one of the best experiences I have had with the TW series ever. However, I remember some things from my previous campaigns that were concerning I would like to ask about (a couple bad things out of thousands of good things).

    I did a campaign as Gondor and one as the Woodland Elves. I remember Mordor being absolutely ridiculous in both campaigns. I have 1000's of hours playing and modding TW games, never seen anything like the stacks on stacks Mordor was throwing at me. I get that this is lore friendly, Mordor mass producing low quality units and overwhelming enemies, but in both campaigns it got to the point where I was fighting off like 3+ stacks per turn. I love the battles in this mod, and with quality troops crushing Mordor with minimal casualties was pretty easy, but it just got to the point were it became more of a chore and I couldn't realistically progress at more than a crawl due to the beyond ridiculous amount of stacks. Finding time to play and then spending 3 hours per turn just clearing out orcs quickly made me lose interest/immersion in playing stop playing. Is this pretty much the same in both TATW and with MOS installed? Or does MOS have mods that makes Mordor into a relentless powerhouse? I noticed there is a "stronger Mordor" mod in the list. What can I do to maybe tone this down just a litttttttle bit? Normal campaign difficulty? Remove any specific parts of MOS or scripts? Any advice would be helpful.

    I also remember the BAI really struggling with defending in siege battles, and with archers. I remember whenever I attacked a settlement the entire enemy army would just sit in one mass blob in the middle of the cities and just stay idle without moving while archers slaughtered literally thousands of them. I also remember it being the same in battles as the Elves, I could just get within archer range and take out 75% of the enemy army while they just sat there. I read some of the mod pages for the mods included in MOS and some of the AI mods claimed to have fixed all of this but it wasn't my experience from last time. I realize that the AI is one of the major limitations in every single TW title but was just wondering if any of this had been improved upon by anything included with MOS?

    Hey, can anyone link me to a list of fiefdoms in MOS 1.7? The readme that I've found is not correct, and I'm having a hard time figuring out which settlements to place my generals in.

    Also, Alatar is an ancillary for Rhun, correct? I'm unable to initiate the trigger for him, and attempting to give my faction leader the ancillary via ~ does not work.

    Lastly, are there any good submods for Rhunnic unit skins? Something that I really love about playing Gondor - my favorite faction - is that there are so many different skins depending on what armor level each unit has. As far as I can tell, skin does not change for Rhun's units despite improving their armor.

    I must admit that I have not played MOS myself for over four years or so. Besides that, I'm quite busy with working on DCI:LA with the team and some other stuff I do on this site. So I can't help you with this one, perhaps somebody else can though. Activity here sadly is not what it was though.

    Well, for this the situation it is a bit the same as above, not sur if it's possible in MOS. If you can't find a bodyguard switcher, than it probably can't be done.

    Let's see, with this I can at least give some answers.
    Recommended difficulty for MOS has always been VH/VH. But it's only an advice, just try it and see how you like it. Don't ignore lower difficulty settings if you think you will enjoy the game better that way.

    High elves special missions I don't recall, but does it really matter if you know beforehand or not? If there are, it would spoil the surprise and if there are not, you still have a campaign to win.

    It's not normal to be in dept if you haven't spent anything. I assume that you have started a lot of building activity. If not I have no idea. IIRC there is no faction in MOS that starts without money and at least some surplus money each turn, depending on how much you spent of course.

    Rhun clansmen should have a visual upgrade if to believe the op. IIRC alreadyded did it in Dagor Ennor so the armour was coloured bronze/silver/gold depending on the upgrade. Third Age: REFORGED has created several new models or upgrades that you might like. These are notMOS submods, mind you, so you need modding knowledge to get them into your game.

    Hello, folks,
    I have a question to pose. On Turn 2 or 3 of the normal campaign, the Faction Leader of Harad simply vanishes. He's not dead, because the faction leadership doesn't transfer. He's just gone. I can conquer every single region, and never see him. The capital also changes to Gobel Ancalimon. After two turns, I am also unable to locate him by typing character_reset Khuzaymah and looking for his movement radius. Qusay is still faction heir. No clue why this is happening. the kill_character command also doesn't work by default, and I don't know how to turn it on.

    Any ideas why this would be? How do I find him? Do I use a console command? Is he just de-spawning somehow?

    Edit: Okay, I have now confirmed that his character simply disappears after one turn. At the beginning of Turn 2, I use character_reset Khuzaymah and the console says that character does not exist.

    Why in the world is my game just deleting a faction leader? It seems to be happening to the Witch-King, too.

    I know that MOS has not been updated in a long time, but I'm about to play it again after a long absence. I'm wondering: would you guys be willing to update it now that a certain submod (that shall not be named ) has been deleted from the forum? I like MOS, but it feels kinda...outdated? I don't know. It would be nice to spruce it up a bit with some new skins/models/captains, like those awesome Troll drummer captains/standard bearers that can be seen in certain submods (for example, Reunited Kingdom). Just a thought!

    I'll be downloading MOS today after reinstalling TATW on my new ACER laptop, which has such a better graphics card than my previous one. I can actually play the antiquity mod Europa Barbarorum for M2TW Kingdoms on it smoothly with all graphics settings on high, it's so sweet. If I can do that with EBII, MOS should be a breeze, but I'll let you know if I see any crashes with Ents or those damn spiders. I have a good feeling I won't experience any CTDs like that anymore with my new laptop, which would be such a relief.

    I think he's not deleted, just sent off the map. I think he'll be sent back with a stack when the faction gets close to defeat.

If I can do that with EBII, MOS should be a breeze, but I'll let you know if I see any crashes with Ents or those damn spiders. I have a good feeling I won't experience any CTDs like that anymore with my new laptop, which would be such a relief.
    I don't think any of the leading developers of MOS is still active. I haven't seen Stylx or HotW for a very long time.
