    Nobody has come up with a reliable solution that works for all the people that are effected by this and I can assure you that quite a few of our top modders have looked for it. So yes, there is nothing else to do at this point than delete the unit, or autoresolve the battles of course. I guess you could also use " auto_win attacker" or "auto_win defender" to cheat by typing this command in the console window (use the "~" key to open it) and press "enter" just before hitting autoresolve.

    Hello, I wanted to play MOS 1.62 with the reunited kingdom sub-submod. so I reinstalled the TATW 3.2, MOS 1.62 and ran Cleaner.bat as admin.
    Playing (and to some extend editing) this specific mod for some time has taught me that you should test after every step you take. Now I am running into a problem with MOS 1.62.

    The game starts fine, but trying to start a new Grand Campaign as any faction sends you back to the main menu. This usually means there is something wrong with the Descr_strat and looking at the crash log file reveals that some of the resources are being send to "invalid tiles", and this is where my knowledge of the game starts to lack a bit :p. I do not understand why the clean install would have such a problem.

    I have also ran the bugfixer 1 - 3 for MOS 1.62 and ran the Cleaner.bat again, but the problem persists.
    So in my experience there is probebly something wrong with the Descr_strat (which I do not feel like checking line by line.) I am not aware of any other files that cause this exact same problem.

    Has anyone encountered this problem before? and if so is there a fix? I have added the log file if anyone is intrested in running through it

    EDIT:
    I play via Steam, I also have a second Third age maps with MOS 1.7 installed this one is running fine... oh and let's not forget TATW and MOS are awesome!!!!
    It looks like the error is with campaign map itself, rather than with the descr_strat. The numbers indicating the resource locations match perfectly with the ones in my own descr_strat, so that file is not the problem. It's just that the resources are all the way at the top of the descr_strat file, so the game will read those first when starting a campaign and will find errors there before errors in for example the settlements of Isengard, which doens't mean the Isengard stuff is not bugged.
    Can you load custom battles without any issues at all? Because I think your download might be corrupted. So I would suggest a redownload and re-install of MOS 1.62. Just make sure you are not using your computer for anything else while you are doing this.
    If all else fails, just install RK on top of 1.62. It has a new map and a new descr_strat, so it might (emphasis on might) solve your problem, if it is indeed just related to the map or the descr_strat.

    The patches were bugfixes. Not much was changed about the way the mod works. So the answer to your question would be that MOS 1.7 is still easier (or less annoying, if you prefer ) for the good factions.

    First of all, thank you for all your great work!

    Just wondering if there is some reason the advisor shows up when I use "locate settlement on map" even tho I have the advisor completely disabled? It's a minor thing I know, but it's a bit annoying and just wondering if there is a quick fix or if I just have to get used to not clicking that button

    Well, how about that. I have been looking for a way to get the advisor back, as it seems to have disappeared from MOS 1.7 unintentionally and the "normal" things to get it back don't seem to work. Several people have asked how to enable the advisor because it is needed for the Total Diplomacy script. When testing this, I noticed that one should not click on "show me how" though, as that takes you to a battle for the selected settlement, regardless if it is being besieged or not. Simply deselecting the settlement will avoid this happening all together though.

    You can get rid of the advisor by simply clicking the red X button. AFAIK the advisor stays away, at least it does in my game as far as I can tell.

    That's because that's part of the Settlement Viewer script.

    Well, I have no idea to be honest. Those mods are the sole work of rafmc1989 and the MOS team had nothing to do with them really. But since they are made for MOS and they provide an option the players may like, I decided to host them on the MOS Mod DB page, like some other MOS submods. This of course after discussing doing so with the submod authors.

    Perhaps there are others who can say something useful about these mods though, preferably players that actually installed them (which I did not).

    Is there a list anywhere of which base game faction (Saxons, Scotland, etc) corresponds to which MOS faction (Mordor, Lorien)? I'm tweaking the diplomacy script and it's being unco-operative.

    Also, is there a way to use the console to force settlements to have specific Guilds in them (swordsmith, thieves)?
