Could use a lot more variation in the units. The fur gets a bit repetitive and gives off a modern-popular-culture-Northern-fictional-theme feel like in every horned helmet, fur wearing, biker leather media. I would suggest lowering the probability in the VMD. Otherwise, nice work!

As Slytacular said. The units themselves are looking good but not really "Cumani".

Then I did a very good job on making them look distinct from the Cumans, since both the Vlachs and Bolokhovians are not supposed to look "Cumani".

I've already reduced the probability of the furs, and added more varieties of helmets and armours to almost all of the units above.

Cuman hunters look a little too much like European Jesters. Maybe hats are historically accurate but more variation or less of that kinda hats would be great. Since this is a nomadic faction I guess the hunters wouldn't look all the same like they wore uniforms right? Sorry if I'm wrong

As you can see in the image below all of them are wearing the same type of hat, other manuscripts featuring the Cumans also display those hats, not that we should take manuscripts literally, but those hats were very common among the Cumans. Anyways this is still WIP and I intend to add more variations.

As I said, they might be accurate but it looks odd when all of them wear the same hat. I'm sure you'll do a good job about variation

I feel that the gunners are out of place. The Mongols might have used Chinese firelances to a very limited degree, but that was afaik the only mobile gunpowder weapon used by the steppe people of this timeperiod.

The khanate of Kazan, and Crimeans did use firearms, and I am using them both as a base for the late tier Cumans.

When is the first attested usage?

Guns were used in Kazan during their war against Muscovite, but I am not sure about Crimea. Anyways it doesn't matter this is what-if scenario.

They need it for balance sake.

What's wrong with their horse breeds? They look like draft horses with all those hairs on their hooves. Other eastern factions have these horses too.
