Virus_found, I haven't been able to unpack my game, and as a result have not been able to fix settlements in a way that will allow me to play sieges. Do you by any chance have fixed settlement and blockset files that you might be able to upload?

Well, I wouldn't call that making the settlements work on Mac. The howto describes running the Windows version of the game on Linux/Mac using WINE.

Unfortunately, no, I haven't even tried it once

So there is no solution to play EBII on mac with it's settlements ? I can play siege battles on campaign (not on custom though) by following your instructions, but of course the immersion is totally broken. I have to attack Maya cities in Greece or 12th century cities in 272 BC that's quite disturbing ^^

However I put the East of Rome settlements in the different 'settlements' folders of EBII, don't remember exactly the exact repartition I did, and now I get EoR Oriental cities in some Greeks or Oriental cities, which are very good. But for an unknown reason, I still get Maya cities in some cities like Pella. I didn't test roman or barbarian settlements so far

Settlements are a mess for Mac users, I got the same problem with TATW of course but wasn't able to fix it

For the love of god if anyone has gone through this gruelling process please upload a compressed file with the final files [maybe even the devs could then pin it to the main download page].

Fiddling around configuring wine; unpacking the game is time consuming and my HD is full as it is. So if someone out there has done it, please upload it!

I agree but I'm not even sure this tutorial actually works.
I did exactly the same as the instructions in this tutorial with the exact same settlement (Minas Tirith) but that didn't work. That took me 20min for only one settlement and that even didn't work, stil CTD when trying this settlement. So I'm afraid there is no redemption for us. The only help I can give you is to try replacing the EBII settlements with the East of Rome ones. That's not perfect, but still better than noting
Download it here http://www.moddb.com/mods/east-of-rome-the-danube-limes and then copy the content of the "settlement" folder of this mod and paste it in the clean "settlement" EBII folder (you must delete all the EBII settlements first or you will get crashes)
Repeat the exact same processus for the "blockest" folder

ATTENTION : note that you will still get CTD when choosing the settlement type in the custom battle menu. That only allows you to play the Campaign sieges without CTDs and with sometimes more appropriate settlements (but I still get sometimes Mayas settlements in Greece, sometimes it's OK, I don't really understand why)

Hope that will help you !

Now that there's the definitive edition, can someone post the up to date way to get EB 2.35 going on Mac?

There are Mac installation instructions in the Player's Guide, bundled with the mod.

Campaign and Battle are working well!
I'm still getting the CTD from settlements. I've seen that some people have managed to figure out how to get settlements working on Mac and Linux.
I have no idea how to use this converter though. Would it be possible, to have the converted files in the non-installer version so the settlements work out of the box?
