    Default Public Order Help

So, I've started playing your mod as Rome, and so far I can say it's amazing. But, I got a slight problem, as the title suggests. I don't have any idea how to manage public order. Can you guys give me tips on how to do it? Romanize, statesmen, etc.?

Do not store your armies in the cities, but deploy the outside and then pick patrol stance, it will not only increase your PO but also it will add some money to your pocket

Do store a general in the city on his own, however, one with bonuses to public order.

It was a huge help in my Rome campaign in keeping newly conquered regions stable.

Take a few of the governor traits on a general, and give him a good ancillary and he can keep a province much happier than usual.

Even my best military generals had a few ranks in the city management traits to make life easier.

For early game make governors (dignitaries) and place them one in each of your core regions (northern italy, middle italy, southern italy and sicily). specialize the northern one with PO and culture traits, the middle with economics, the southern one with culture before you take sicily, then economics when you control the whole province (depending on your campaign). After you expand past Italy, use governors heavily focused on culture in fully controlled provinces, and generals with governor traits on contested ones (The general is more useful for an immediate PO boost).

Plan your buildings wisely, as in DeI the effects of the different modifiers are much more meaningful. if you have an industrial town, you might want to make a hospital (or some water works) in another town of the same region.

most importantly check each turn your -ve PO provinces for what's affecting them (hover the mouse over the PO counter) and try to counter it the best you can.

lower taxes to minimum levels to maximize growth and minimize PO penalty. focus on growth of your trade and build temples that increase your population percentage in each province when you conquer them and when a province is fully occupied issue romanization edict. station dignitaries that romanize population quickly in new territories.

Chances are the reason you are having trouble is because of culture penality (check town details to be sure). Buildings like sacred groves, sewers, and gladiator are great ways for rome to increase PO and culture at the same time.
