Can't start a new campaign (steam version)
What it says on the tin. When I start up a new campaign it crashes on loading. Followed this guide
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-first-post%29
I've seen a lot of posts saying its an unsolvable issue too, saying that I'll need a physical copy to play it.

The disc works 100%. The version I use works on windows 7,8,10. I found mine for 6.99. Rome anthology. I have steam, but it does not work.

Re: Can't start a new campaign (steam version)
I have the same issue with Steam and Windows 10.
This occurs when I install to the Rome Total War Gold Edition Folder.
In the directions it says to install to the Rome Total War Alexander Folder, but if I do this is stay the RS3 did not install correctly
If I install to Rome Total War Alexander/alexander it says I am missing msdll.32 when I hit start on the launcher.

Re: Can't start a new campaign (steam version)
I installed RSIII FIVE times to a 'Rome Total War Alexander' folder, which I downloaded from Steam, and did exactly as I advised in the install instructions. Every install works perfectly.
Steam versions of RTW and RTW BI do not, and never will work with RSIII in any OS.

Re: Can't start a new campaign (steam version)
For $15 USD I ordered the game Friday night on Amazon and it just arrived this morning, Sunday, at 10am. No problems getting the mod to work.
I think this is a better long term solution because Stream seems to break a lot of my games quite frequently.
This was by far my favorite mod in the past, looking forward to getting back into it.
