You might wanna add a Venetian faction, since they had some possesions in the eastern mediterranean sea...but if you don' t have time i can understand that.

Have you considered moving to broken crescent 2.4.2 ? I think it can be very good base to do your mod
I checked the new version of bc.there are too much factions.some of them not necessary.I cannot make so much faction units.
Also first I 'll need to delete the current units.it's hard and time consuming.
As for my mod based on the best map and contains major factions.also it's very clean because I make it from the stratch.

first unit.not even finished.i must add weapons,shield as well.i ll need to make 200 more to finish the mod.as i mentioned before i am experiencing different kind bump maps,normal maps,and rigging techniques.these factors are important for the look of the unit.in m2tw game engine even u put an atilla unit it may look nearly same quality as simple rusichi mod unit.as u see my models are detailed and higher poly.i hope i can make them look good as in the render in the game.one thing i also experienced about beauty of the unit is that about rigging.if u rig the unit simply its textures ll disapper or look bad in the unit animation.instead of classical rigging such as bone L_foot etc etc try to assign ur joints with the other joints.i could not explaine well(cos my english is bad).hope the unit makers understand me.
i also find very usefull advice of paleologos.he forgot to mention also fixing of underweight bones.its in vertex tab.u should also untick the auto smooth in the group tab.it downgrades ur unit quality in the game.many modders make it opened,i realise when i convert their 3d mesh file.

by the way unit name is arabian cavalry.i may give him to abbasids and oman as well.also i may add the hair particules to unit.i can give him long black arabic hairs.
