Battle HUD Disappers

Hello, this is my first time posting. First off, I have tried very hard to find a thread related to this. I am playing Medieval II Total War third age total war. Battle involves my 2500 vs 5000 (though I have done this battle before and no problem occurred).

Now to the problem. During the battle, I accidentally pressed some buttons and changed the screen dramatically. There is now black space on top and bottom. Though the unit cards appear in the bottom black space and the map appears in the top black space (for minimal HUD). The battle screen that shows all the fighting is not covered by the black; instead, it is reduced in size.

The battle HUD does not work, but the minimal HUD does work. Also, I can not see unit details, such as fatigue and moral level. I'm guessing I just need to press those buttons again, but I have not been able to find them anywhere online or in the F1 command list.

If you need screenshots let me know, but I prefer not too since I have never posted screenshots.

Have you checked your Video Settings and your Game Settings in the Main Menu > Options? You should be able to change those settings back manually.

Is there a way to change it during the battle? I would like to know the keyboard buttons that changed it. Plus, I wouldn't know what to change in the main menu options.

When you go into options\keyboard setting at the start of the game you will see a tab for battle which will show you all the short cuts.
During battle you can press escape and then choose UI options - there you can set the various details as well as setting the interface to hidden or normal.

Screenshots - you need to convert them from tga to jpg. Sage Thumbs does it via right clicking.
