I am curious if anyone knows where the gorgeous artwork for the loading screens of this mod (or is it vanilla art too?) is sourced from, would like to know more about the artist(s) and use as desktop backgrounds, etc

Its not vanilla art (at least not all of it). Some a from someone (Dresden would know) and some of the others are screenshots from different people (myself included)

Some of the artwork used is concept art from Ryse: Son of Rome - the images of Romans landing in Britain, and also the main menu screen picture of Rome I think. I don't really think it all fits, but meh. And the Collosseum is in the wrong place.

There was a lot wrong with Ryse son of rome in the history department.

Afew of the images that kind of look more like they were painted are from a signle author, I believe he approached the DeI team with 4 pieces of artwork and asked if we'd include them as loading screens. Dresden would have the name. I think it might have been vodkason but I'm not 100% sure on that.

As the others have said its from a lot of sources, but the custom art from a couple of the screens is by vodkason. Idraeus did our logo and other UI elements.
