Default Low power on nvidea 7600

I've just bought an nvidia card to try and keep up with the advances. Altogether i'm very pleased with the results. I am running on xp pro 64 bit however (might be of significance) and was not happy when I visited their website and found it cluttered with thousands of drivers (yes i'm an ATI person usually) Anyway I installed what looked like the latest compatible driver the 93.81beta64 driver. Everything works trumps apart from one thing; when windows boots up I get a low power message telling me the card is not recieving the power it would like and has dropped it's proccesing speed as a result please connect a power cable to the card if available. (My card doesn't have one btw).

I have a 450watt PSU and I thought this was sufficient (it says 350watts is needed on the box). Is it it driver or is it the PSU itself which i thought was good quality? I dont have performance problems in my games at all (mtw2 runs smoothly on all high settings and 1240/1024 with no shadows and no antialiasing for comparison). But if the card is in fact cutting itself down I'd really want to get the full proccessing power out of it.

you shouldnt be looking at watts, in fact alot of PSUs advertise false number of watts. look at your 12V rail, whats the number there? for a card like a 7600 it should be atleast over 20a, probably more.

I had the same problem with my 7950gt. it turns out there's a power cable directly from your power supply which you must connect. look at the end of the graphics card, there should be a place to put a plug.
    I AM JOB.
