Looting cities in ETW
Hi, everyone,
I am new to Empire TW, though a seasoned veteran player from MTW. One of the things that has taken me by surprise (besides the inability to set the tax level region by region!) is the apparent impossibility of "looting" cities (regional capitals) once you take them. In "Napoleon", there is a dialog box showing you three options ("Loot", "Occupy" and "Liberate") exception made when you occupy a city in France (that makes sense). In "Empire", however, I am unable to find this dialog box! When after a siege my army takes the city, it walks in and the situation is the equivalent to "Occupy", with absolutely no gain in gold and with many buildings destroyed.
What am I missing?
Thank you very much.

Re: Looting cities in ETW
Hi Lordsith,
Thank you for answering. Therefore must I understand that in the "plain vanill" ETW it is not possible? The only option is to walk into the city you have just breached? Geez... looting was my prime source of financing in MTW!
Thank you again,
Fingolas
