Well, that was nice, VC was always my first campaign choice.

The biggest surprise for me are the votes for the video on yt, only few downvoted compared to positive votes, mostly it is the opposite under CA videos.

Looks like postponing the release date was a good choice. This looks good, also glad to see they reworked Empire units and ditched the stupid morion thing. I still won't preorder though, and wait for reactions, but the siege overview and the obvious work given will eventually make me buy the game and makes me think they've taken the right path. If those features we saw in the cinematic are real gameplay features (raising deads etc.) then Vampire Counts definitely seem to be done properly and sounds really nice to play with.
    Wait and see, I'd say.

This trailer made me consider a witch hunter build for the next D&D campaign I play

As a Vampire Counts player, this had me almost pre-ordering. I'd need to see a few more details but hot momma that was awesome.

I saw a bright wizard. Did they have bright wizards before?

^ Yes they were shown before.

    Shaping up pretty well.

The Averheim siege looked good. I particularly liked the masonry siege towers with the mausoleum on top and the cemetery gate bridgeheads. Magic other than shooting fireballs is nice to see.

absolutely shocked, if thats in game footage, with raising enemy dead, they have really gone for it this time. God help them if they up this release though

Really happy about how Van Carstein look actually. Way better than most warhammer artwork where they look too inhuman in my opinion, which contrasts with the lore which state that vampires can blend in and be quite effective rulers of human populations if they set their mind to it.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but is it normal for the empire-units to look greenish-yellow? Is that maybe a hint for the army painter or is that just the color of the units in the lore? (I'm new to warhammer)

There are different vampiers so their look depends. For example young Manfred looked like regular young guy before turning into his look from the trailer Or Isabella von Carstein that also looked very human, while Vlad not so much ;P

ToraktheNord - Empire troops have different colours depending on the state the troops were levied.

The ones in the video were as mentioned Averlanders. They wear the traditional Yellow and Black HRE colors. They only look green because of the lighting.

While they did a good job depicting him visually, Mannfred's voice threw me off. I don't have a problem with it, but its not how I imagined him at all. Too monstrous. I was expecting more Christopher Lee and less 300 Xerxes.

Vlad would have been the charismatic one. Mannfred is less benevolent overlord and more megalomaniac machiavellian violent backstabbing starscreamy opportunist.
