Game will not launch

Hi there wondering if anyone can help the game was working perfectly up until i reached turn 72 of the grand campaign and then the next time i tried to load it the pregame screen works but then it wont play and the disc stops.

can anyone help I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and still the same result, i also tired removing windows 7 and trying it on windows XP and installing the available patches and nothing is working.

What do you mean by pre-game screen? Do you mean the Launcher (shown below)?
