I am trying to figure out the in-game politics, looking at the big map from the other thread... Are they all vassals to Lesser Poland then? Or are they all allied? It isn't very clear.

I think that playable faction should be Grand Duchy of Greater Poland as the cradle of the Polish state.

Question - shouldn't the peasants have scythes similar to this rather than the run of the mill scythes? From memory didn't they break the scythe, and reforge it so it looked similar to this?

That does not make the scythes any better. If you are reforging something , you might as well forge something more suited to actually hurt someone who has some armor on. I am not saying they never did reforge agricultural tools to somewhat better suit for warfare, but in general as a peasant you would grab whatever is at hand. Also, if you reforge your agricultural tools, you´d need to reforge them back again in order to be able to work on the field again, provided you survived that long or were able to run away at the first sight of organised opposition.
That is a lot of forging and metalwork for a peasant ... or for the village blacksmith

I believe that is a miltarised version of a scythe. Usually the poor arrive equipped with whatever authority stockpiled for warfare like Spears and shields. In other times, the poor like in Carolingian France, Medieval England, Classical Era India, and possibly other tons of factions would be required to become archers for the army. Equipping the poor as missile troops were far better effective than having sticks and valuable farming equipment.

Dude... those are absolutely amazing. You guys have FAR exceeded my expectations for this mod, especially with regards to Poland (which often gets overlooked or rushed). And those officers....... I'm salivating lol. Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort. I only have 200 hours on Attila atm but with this mod I will no doubt add another 1000+ to that. And on top of that you're telling me there's more in the making (perhaps some early/late swordsmen?) which is just the icing on the cake.

I'm so pumped for this mod. Really gentlemen, fine work. Bravo.

Poland was never really known for great infantry. In earlier times the people from that area copied the Russian system (except a little more westernised in appearance) having nobles and strong warriors on horse back while crappy spears and axemen were used as infantry. Most of the infantry couldn't purchase chainmail or swords which was the best quality armament at the time. Even in the late era the best we had were spear men/crossbow men that served as a front line soldier.

So Ltd has got every unit spot on. I have never seen such a good representation medieval Poland so stellar job Ltd hats off to you. If you are having trouble adding mercenaries to the factions then add some horse archers.
Also have to ask, will I be able to create Poland by asking the other duchies to join? Is it possible to create Poland or will I stay as my duchy? And will I have access to all the other duchies' units (bar the ones that repeat) just in a Poland looking version instead of the duchy version?
