    A few things to keep in mind: As always the units are work in progress, some other units are still in the making and will be added at a later point.
    Playable factions are Lesser Poland and Silesia, though nothing is set in stone.

    Enjoy

    For the most part, Tatars were enemies of Poland, as Tatars fought for the side that was profitable for them. They can be regional mercs though, avaliable in province of Ruthenia.

    Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
    I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

    @KAM

    Ok, so what's the TL;DR for all these duchies? Was Greater Poland the most powerful or is that linked to something else? I know Eric of Pomerania was the first king of Kalmar Union, but that's pretty much it.

    Lesser Poland was the main Duchy (Great and Lesser Poland are not indicators of their power and wealth as Lesser Poland was where the capital was located), but during mods starting timeframe, Silesia was the main power until battle of Legnica against Golden Horde in 1241. Greater Poland was the place where Poland "was born" during reign of Mieszko I and where was the first capital of Gniezno.

    Overal, entire story for divided Duches starts in 1138, after Prince (Poland lost the title of King from 1079 to 1295(briefly)/1320 (for good)) Bolesław III Wrymouth in his testimony divided Poland into separate Duchies governed by his sons. Each son would get single domain, but the oldest one would have his domain and also the biggest Seniorate domain (Lesser Poland and most important forts all the way to the north, securing his power above younger brothers). After the oldest would die, his younger brother would get the Seniorate domain etc. That was the theory. In real life entire system broke down to series of civil wars that, along with foreign powers helping one or another side. The turmoil ceased during reign of Wladyslaw II the Elbow-high and ended for good during reign of his son, Casimir III the Great.

    Pomerania was a bit different case as it was never fully part of Poland in Medieval times, especially the western part, it either tried to be independet or had large autonomy. Pomeranian ruller, Ratibor I pretty much burned down Denmark and Norway in XII century, he also launched one the biggest naval invasions in history up to that date.

    Lesser Poland being the more powerful is opposite to what I would assume, but fair enough. This might be a shot in the dark, but do you know of any english online version of Annales seu cronici incliti regni Poloniae? I've heard it's pretty good.
