Shield Wall question

Greetings. I am playing through the BI.exe and noticed that hardly any units have the shield wall ability. In fact I loaded up a Cimbri campaign and even they had one unit that is able to use shield wall. My main campaign is Pergamon and I notice that my hoplites don't have a shield wall ability. I just want to make sure that the game is working as it should and these units should not have the shield wall ability anyways. Thank you!

Hi,

in fact only few units have the "shield wall" ability and most of them are faction-specific units, so you, as Pergamon-player have very limited choice of these units, few mercenary troops only. If only the "shield wall" ability is the reason you choosed the BI exe, you maybe have to reconsider your choice.

BTW here are the units I picked from EDU which have shield wall ability in Pergamon campaign; I ignored the few roman auxiliaries, for obvious reason:

You can add the ability of shield wall to units but it requires editing text files.
Its pretty simple.....
