Anyone else not buying until the patch comes out?

I'm not bashing CA in any way, but I have such good expectations for this game, and so little time between college and social life that I don't want to risk ruining my experience with this game. I know these bugs don't happen to everyone and there are people who say the game is still playable (which I'm sure it is) but I just want to wait and have the satisfaction of playing a nice finished product. In the meantime I read up on the many topics and just like everybody else I'm waiting for the patch so I can finally play the game.

Wondered who else is in a similar position, if any.

I will not buy until the patch comes out aswell, assuming that this all-fixing patch actually fixes all of these bugs, which I doubt it.

The game is still fun even with bug just think the patch comes out it will be funner ? might aswell get it. if u want bug free it will take 1 year with all the new patch or maybe less ?

The topic clearly states "anyone else not buying until the patch comes out", no one said anything about being funnier to play or how much time it will take for the patch to be released.
I bought the game and had I known some bugs were present I would have probably waited for a patch to be released.

Like i said many times my pc died four hours after buying mtw2 so if id know that was going to happened i wouldn't have bought it but i haven't enough playtime to comment on the bugs.

Sure it has bugs, but let me give you an example: Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. It was recently released and the game was so badly bugged that in most cases it just crashed to desktop for various reasons, plain bad coding and not decent beta testing. The result was that a lot of people (me included) felt defrauded for buying a product that is supposed to be "whole" and is in fact "broken" and had I and others knew how badly the end product was we wouldn't have bought it, not at release at least.

Personally I don't advise people not to buy the game, I say they should indeed buy it but at least they have the right to know there are bugs and not a patch readily available to fix them, that's all.

I'm not whining, I am simply choosing for myself that I'd rather wait a little bit because I want to enjoy the game more. I already said it's probably still playable and enjoyable so we agree on that. Stating my opinion is not whining, plus I wondered who else felt the same way and since nobody made a topic like this (that I've seen) I made one. I have other things to keep me occupied, in the gaming department GoW and SC: DA keep me company, and this is finals week, so nobody is whining. In fact I'd say your post is the whiniest one.

Let's think about this. Why would it help the issue by whining? Is it maybe this way you feel releaved about the fact that you don't own the game yet? Or is it, because you are bored and have nothing to do? Yes we all know there are some bugs, but still this game beats any RTS game even with bugs.

I'm planning on waiting to see what people say about the patch before I run out and spend the money. It is tempting to buy it now, even with bugs, but I have learned over the years that it is much much better to wait longer and have a better game, then to get a crappy game sooner.

And I don't see it as whining or CA bashing. These are KNOWN bugs that even CA has admitted to. They've said they are going to fix it with a patch, and I think I can handle waiting 1 or 2 days for a better product.
