Default very grateful and confused newbie

This mod is superb from front to back.I love it!!! saying this though I do need help. I started the campaign with the Casse Faction and I took over all of the British Isles but I cannot recruit (apart from mecenaries) cavalry or chariots. I tried to change all of the castes and the military governments but I still cannot recruit any mobile forces. Can anyone help this pathetic little newbie. Thanks

You picked the hardest faction as your first one. I'd suggest one of the others till you get more accustomed to it. Casse, Saba, Saka, Sarmatians, and Pontos are some of the hardest ones. A good mid sized one is Baktria. Carthage is safe but big, so is Ptolemies.

Well when the 1st eb beta came out i played casse. I conquered all of england and pushed into germania until i met the romans. Lets just say hopefully when that time comes you will have very good troops otherwise it will be a had fight. As to answer your question could you post some screen shots of the building you have built or need to build so i can tell you exactly why. -Leon

No, not yet. Think it requires some amount of buildings

The Casse are a tad cocked-up...with a bit of the old cheating..(add_money and process_cq) to see what they can build in the Homeland, all we get are..Iaosatae, Kluddobro, Lugoae and Belgae Batacorii to start with the next Level we get Botroas and followed by Calawre, and thats it!!!.
No Chariots, no Cavalry, no Skirmishers or Archer types, unless its/they are conected to some type of reform. This is using both types of MIC and then destorying the Gov1 building and rebuilding as gov4 to get more levels of the seconary MIC still no change so I am guessing they still need a bit of work.
Still its very pretty and nice looking, just not from what I can see viable to play the Casse .
Also the Spainish fraction seems to have a few problems can't build their Cavalry and (i think, should of noted the names down, takes far too long on my old computor to load the game again) the "Medium Spearmen" appear twice in the build panel.

Darn. And here I had just figured out how to survive long enough to get an economy going and head north!

Hint... Forget Ratae...go for Ictis in the opening moves. (The rebels leave you alone if you stay in the south)

IIRC, you should be able to recruit Cidainh (Celtic chariots) at MIC level 4 and Myrcharn (skirmisher cavalry) at MIC level 2 or 3. And much of the Casse force is also drawn from regional units like the Midland Britons (Cmwyr, Cemmernain) and Caledonians (Balroae) so, it is not that bleak. Besides, they have at least a reform along the way that will allow more advanced late units. And just to the side you have all the Goidilic units (Daernaght, Laecha, Ordmhornaght, Deaisbárd and the merc Uachtarach DuboGaiscaocha) so I really think you are not seeing the whole picture.

ive tried to change the MIC levels on everyone of the settlements on all of the british isles and I still cannot recruit any mobile forces. Maybe I should wait for a reform but i'm sure I i still should be able to recruit some chariots. The only horse units I have are the generals. All my settlements are large cities (by cheating of course for testing purposes obviously lol)

    Edit Missed above posts sorry

Well, strange that you are not able to build Cidainh in your home province. And no Myrcharn either? This probably means a recruitment error. I'll check with the recruitment guys. They are not aware of this.

Ahh...............but one can't and believe me one has have tried we can only train..(this is in the Homeland = starting prov) the six units one reported earlier. and one looked at the building text file do-da(WALL OF TEXT very very scary ..me cried ) as well, and it seems that the bloody gauls can but we can't (stop now before one goes too far... ), not that one could make out too much, other than we get the thin end of the wedge once again.

Englishmen? I think you are a bit wrong in this. You mean "Briton", not "English". England and the English were formed in the beggining of the Middle Ages from the invasions of Germanic settlers: the Angles, Jutes and Saxons...
