Computer newb needs help!

I'm trying to upgrade my PC so that it can comfortably run Medeival 2. However, I have no idea what my computer's current system settings are. I've mislayed pretty much all the paper work I got with it, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to work them out. I need to know how much RAM I have, what my procesor is and what my graphics card is.

Basically the aim of the game is to upgrade enough to run MTW2 satisfactorially, and since I could run RTW acceptably it should be possible. Any help is much appreciated. Thankee kindly.

Start, programs, accesories, system tools, system information and you'll find a whole database of your system stats

RAM: 200megs
graphics card: 64 meg SiS 66 1FX Rev

It runs RTW at a just about acceptable level, but obviously won't run MTW2.

Ahh, so this should be interesting.... you have a setup similar to mine that played RTW...

Well, a warning to everyone else who posts in this thread. He says he wants to play acceptable, meaning, Medium settings most likely... a USD $400 budget? Well, i'll give you prices in US dollars from Newegg.com, though it will likely be different in the UK....

Anyways, this should give you medium settings, as long as your not putting on AA, HDR or Bloom....

Here is a completely new build.... cause I feel like being a budget man....

It won't give you highest settings, but if you take tips from us, shutting down useless processes, adjusting some things high and other medium, you should be able to play M2:TW fairly well on that system.

Note: I did not include PSU, CD/DVD/Floppy Drives, Sound Card, or Hard Drive because I'm just assuming he can take those out of his current system. If not, a hard drive.. 80-120GB is very cheap, even a 320 GB can be found for under $100 USD....

Onboard sound is fine for his expectations, he doesnt really need a soundcard....

Also, you said you wanted to mostly play strategy games with this. It will slow-down in graphically intensive games, like Oblivion, Crysis in 07, F.E.A.R (I think) and so on. I like it though, for under $400, and not core 2 duo, it is decent... I would of went for a E6300 Core 2, but LGA 775 Core 2 mobo's are expensive....

Well, you should probably have atleast 1gb RAM and your graphics card is also pretty sub-par.
