    Thera are a lot of questions of course. The first I found are different recruting parameters for the same unit in the different buildings.

    For example the Byzantine Spearmen:

    in fortress castle

    recruit_pool "Byzantine Spearmen" 0 0.000001 0.999 0 requires factions { byzantium, }

    and in garrison_quarters

    recruit_pool "Byzantine Spearmen" 1 0.5 4 0 requires factions { byzantium, }

    I assume, the secound number define the refresh rate and the 3rd how many units can be recruit in one turn. It is clear for the garrison buildings but not for the castles. 0.000001 refresh why not 0? Perhaps to avoid a division by zero error. But why 0.999 and not 1 for the max. recruit limit?

    Can you recruit them in the castle? Maybe this is only to enable recruiting them when the pool is increased by another building.

    First value is a bit of a mystery to me...
    Second is probably refresh rate, yes.
    Third number is how many units can be available at a time.
    Fourth could be experience bonus.

    0.999 could perhaps mean that no whole units can be trained there, but existing units of that type can be retrained. That could perhaps also be related to the first value?

    First value is a bit of a mystery to me...
    I think that's the starting pool you get when you build the building, so for instance if its 1 you immediately get 1 of that unit.
