How to install .pack mod attila

Hello,

Could you guys please help me how to install a attila mod.
I like the game a lot but I dont like the raze option.

So I found this link with 3 anti raze mods:

I also downloaded an other mod; No_razing_settlements.

But when I open the .rar file it says:

D:\game?Total War Attila\data\No_razing_settlements.pack
Archive is an unknown format or is damaged.

I tried several mods, but everywhere the same error message with red sign and white cross in it.

Can someone help me how to open this so I can put the mod file in the folder of Attila? Please?

You need to install Winrar to extract contents of a .rar file.

I have installed Winrar... Other winrar files I can open.. But non of the .pack files I downloaded from this site..

Winrar gives this error when I try to open the .pack files... And I tried like 10 mods... All the same problem.

You do not open pack files, they are not for extracting, just copy them to attila data folder.

ok that was wrong.. trying to show an image.. as when i download that .pack file its automatically converted to a rar file...
so the icon of 3 books on each other..

Anyway I put that that file in the folder D:\Games\Total War Attila\data

I open the game and try to find the mod in the start up of attila.. nothing there...

please i dont get it

I just need the no razing mod.. i hate that on the campaign map.

Ok finally I found my mods in the start up screen of the game.. now I get error its not compatible with the game and game keeps crashing.. You guys have a better mod ?

Search steam workshop for a mod. All you have to do is subscribe to it and boom.

Subscribe, and make sure that it is enabled. I don't recall if they are automatically enabled by default, but I seem to recall that in at least some instances mods have to be manually enabled.

I subscribed here.. can't find the workshop..
I can only find the attila mods under downloads..
Is there another place then, that steam workshop?

it enough that you write this user name and go into his workshop and you can subscribe any mods as you like. Hopefully mod is not outdated.

Ok I put some no raze mods in the basked on steam.. But I dont use steam to start up this game.. Can't put it in the folder like we do it with .pack files on this site.. how can I activate that steam mod? I made an account.
But there is no link betwen steam and the start up manager of attila...

There is a link between Steam and attila mod launcher.

Either you are using an illegal copy of rome or a mac. There are guides about how to solve the issues with macs. If your using a copy of atilla and cirumventing steam, well then i wouldnt advertise it on here if i was you.

Make sure the mod was updated to current attila version also.

Ok last question...
if i adder THE mods on THE steam workshop under My shopping card when logged in i Should be able to see THE mods in THE Total war attila launcher? Activiste mod and no raze is gone?

THE steam mods all work and are good?

any advice on which mod are cool to play?
