Anyone read it? What do you think?

I have and found it very good, pretty out there even in terms of writing and style, but a highly enjoyable read. Rushdie can articulate things so good it's like sex, just that unbelievable it can be done that way.... uh, yeah.

Lol, right now I'm reading Shalimar the Clown, just started really, but already it's extremely good, and without the same out there style seen in some parts of Satanic Verses.

I haven't read it, but here's a rather harsh review from back when it was released:

"I inform the proud Muslim people of the world that the author of the Satanic Verses book, which is against Islam, the Prophet and the Qur'an, all those involved in its publication who are aware of its content and again all those who knowingly choose to read this book, whether Muslim or not, are sentenced to death"

Oh yes, and Salman Rushdie had to go into hiding for a decade. Forgot to add that...
