Default Augustus Campaign - Gaius Octavius's capital is in Brittany?

I'm unable to find any mention anywhere regarding this, so I'm curious - is it intentional that Octavius's capital is in the minor settlement of Darioriutm, Gallia, instead of, well, Rome? Or is this an unintended bug, since it seems the whole of modern-France is directly under the player's control (instead of client states as they were IIRC in vanilla).
I'm using the steam workshop version (the one with 6 parts), so maybe that's the reason? ie. is that outdated or something? I'm unable to find any thread or post that mentions it, so I'd appreciate some clarification if anyone's willing to help me out.

Octavian's capital in the IA campaign is Rome, in both vanilla and DeI, as it should be.

Are you using any other mods besides DeI?

Yes, I am, but I couldn't imagine which could possibly be causing startpos incompatibility:

    Ancient Empires: Divide et Impera
Close pike formation for Divide et Impera
    Closer Deployment Zones
    DEI Better Campaign AI
    Divide et Impera Part 1,2,3,4,5,6
Major Factions (disabling this and starting a new campaign doesn't change anything)
Roma II: Total War Camera Mod
    Rome: Total War Music
    Sebidee's Mercenary Warfare
Updated DEI Naval Ocerhaul for Divide et Impera
Updated Siege & Artillery Overhaul for "Divide et Impera"

that's the full list of mods I'm using, all via Steam Workshop and the game launcher's mod manager. Could anyone point out which could possibly be the cause? I haven't touched anything R2TW/TW:R2-related since late 2014 til I redownloaded the game yesterday, so I basically just threw together mods that caught my interest and seemed compatible enough based on descriptions without knowing the community consensus and whatnot.

    edit:
just hazarding a guess, but could it be that the Ancient Empires submod for DEI is not actually IA-compatible? I can't seem to find any mention in the comments, but it's the only mod/submod that varies startpos.
    edit2:
apparently, that's exactly the case. it's that submod which is throwing off the startpos (I thought it was 100% compatible with DEI). I guess I should ask about this in the relevant sub-forum instead.

well, either way, I should have double-checked this before posting. but on the other hand, it might be of help to someone (probably).

Some of those mods are not compatible with DeI and can break scripts, some are already in DeI and some of them add stuff that was for old DeI versions and currently they are inferior to what present DeI offers

Always check submods first they are in 90% of the time the culprits whenever you have bugs like this.

Ancient Empires: Divide et Impera -known to cause some problems, in general AE is more of a standalone mod rather then DeI submod, both come with different stuff. Try DeI in the base version before moving to AE.
Close pike formation for Divide et Impera - I think that can cause certain balance problems from what I remember
Closer Deployment Zones - already in DeI for more then a year
DEI Better Campaign AI - might cause problems since DeI 1.1 introduced a lot of this stuff
    Divide et Impera Part 1,2,3,4,5,6
Major Factions (disabling this and starting a new campaign doesn't change anything) - might cause problems with DeI as we have our own faction survival scripts plus Major Factions is not compatible with DeI better campaign AI you use
Roma II: Total War Camera Mod - camera mods break our scripts, so reforms might not happen etc etc
    Rome: Total War Music
Sebidee's Mercenary Warfare - not made for DeI
Updated DEI Naval Ocerhaul for Divide et Impera - outdated, DeI 1.1 was released with its own naval overhaul that got a lot of good reviews and is used as a base for anticipated Attila release of Ancient Empires mod
Updated Siege & Artillery Overhaul for "Divide et Impera" - outdated and not compatible with DeI 1.1

The major factions submod conflict with DeI and should never be used together.

No problem, always good to have these kind of things figured out so people in the future have a reference.
