frustrating error

I'm playing a campaign as the Macedonians, and Corinth got besieged by GCS

So, they have a ram (thureopeoi) and ladders (slingers)


Now, it went like this (twice ) : I use my archers to destroy their battering ram, leaving the job to my pikemen on the walls.

But when I'm busy letting my archers ravage the thureopeoi, and the slingers are just about to raise their ladders...

The game crashes to desktop

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, or if there's a mistake in the game, I don't know

All I know it really sucks, so can anyone help me?

There are a few possible causes. (1) It might be an RTW bug, in which case I can't do much about it. (2) It might be a problem with the changes I made to the walls files - in which case you could try deleting [rome]/xgm/data/descr_walls.txt. (3) You could also try changing the formations files that you are using (i.e. if you are using the enhanced formations, try re-installing XGM without them, or visa versa) athough I doubt that is the problem.

If you e-mail a saved game to me I can take a look for other possible causes.
