Can you help us improve our mod? Although some of the work requires a little expertise, much of it does not. Currently we need help from you, the open-beta testers, in the following areas:

1. Audio Research

Know of any sites or musicians that we might approach to use their music?

2. Voice actors

Think you can voice act the unit names for the Rohirrim or Dunlendings? Or perhaps make an even better job of the existing voices for the Reunited Kingdom, the Easterlings or Harad?

3. 2D Images

Think you can find us some images that would suit some of the event images, building images, ancillary images, etc? Can you take screenshots that we might use to create the same? Take a look at some of the Harad event images we've taken from in-game shots and see if you can provide some for us! We will start a screenshot thread for you to post yours!

4. Modellers

We need some more strat-map static models (wonder etc.) - if you're interested then please let us know.

5. Video Creator

Ideally we would have all new videos; this would include: generic intro to the mod, intro to the factions, win/fail/faction destroyed mini-vids. So if you've got skills in this area, please contact us!

The more help we get, the faster we can release Forth Eorlingas!

I'll help with voices if you like.
I can do various English, Scottish (Glaswegian, methinks), Irish, occasionally Welsh, various American (although if you're redoing the Reunited Kingdom, I suppose you won't want that, lol).

If I can get my mic to work and it's recording quality is semi-decent, I could try my hand at some voice acting.
I assume you won't be needing a Dutch/Flemish accent, but I think I can manage something barbarian/Germanic sounding (I may have some trouble with the stereotypical raspy voice, but who knows?)
I could also probably do a decent French accent (maybe for the elves, wouldn't that be just the language for these pompous, chauvinist pointy-ears

)

As a tip for the Rohirrim, we are probably looking for a Scandinavian accent though English may suffice if done well.

A short unit voice:

"Riders of the King's House!"

A longer victory speech (just made it up):

"A day of victory upon the field of battle! A day of honour for the Sons of the Mark!"

I want to give some tips, its yours to choose if you do something with it.

* Re-do some of the Gondor voices. There isnt much wrong with them, but there all a bit thesame. 1 Voice and 1 'style'.

* Gondor soldiers speak the name of the unit they are (for example: 'Guards of the Citadel!', 'King's Guard!' Nothing wrong with that, but i think it would be a bit more fun if you use another strategy for Rohan.
For example, not always spreak the name of the unit, but sometime just something like 'Rohirimmm!' or 'Riders of the Mark!'

I think that would be nice.

Im willing to speak a few things and then let you hear what you think of it. But, im from Holland and i dont think I can speak with Scandinavian accent. Normal English is not a problem.
Furthermore, maybe my tools here arent the best. If the quality sucks, sorry, than you just have to rely on other members.

And just to let you know, Forth Age is a very good mod, and im looking forward to play the campaign with Rohan.

Azumi, thanks for your feedback. We are aware that the voiceacting is not top quality, but there's really nothing we can do about it

Please do send some voice samples, for any faction you think that you could be for.

Oh and about Rohan, I agree, I'm looking forward playing with them too, in fact, I'll try a beta campaign in just a few minutes! (After I've answered this of course) :wink:

The voices have variations, if you've played with Rhun or Harad you'll see that there's actually only one voiceover/unit that says it's name, the others have variations. The Rohirrim have voices that says "Rohirrim" or Riders of the Mark", although Riders of the Mark is a unit of it's own :wink:

I must say, I also played with other factions, and most of their 'speaking' is pretty good, my complements.
The Harad are very nice (very evil voice, hehe), Rhun, thesame story, nice work. Only thing with less quality is Gondor, but I can live with that

And about Riders of the Mark, my bad, i saw too late that there is a unit called to them. Oops

I will make some samples when i have time, probably tomorrow.
