Leave Besim Alone Act

I propose an act with the following legislative elements:

Recognizing the power of Besim,
Comprehending that the Curia and TWC's democracy was essential to its success,
Holds in high regard the work that Besim has done for TWC over the years and most recently,
Understanding that we are all very tired of struggle and all of us civitates as well as Besim needs a break,

1. Ordains all TWCers to cease protest against the administration until peace has been achieved and the transition complete;
2. Requests that all TWCers come to a consensus about the new site after a peaceful transition;
3. Holds in assurance that the pen is always mightier than the sword, and that the voice of the people will always prevail against those of dictators.

(Sorry, the MUN working paper format is the only one that I know)

Since the Curia no longer has any legal power except over its own ranks, this act is null, void and unsignable by the member claiming to be Besim Huskic, who does not in fact hold the rank of Patrician, the requisite rank for moving an act to vote under the Syntagma.

Just thought I would point it out.

On a more serious note though, it is perfectly within our Constitutional Rights of the Freedom of Speech to ***** no matter how much we want. (seeing the server is in the US). Why would you want to stifle talk?

I never claimed one could ***** so far as to breaking the rules. I don't believe anybody complaining so far has yet. If you don't break the rules, then its fine.

And you have no right to post in the Curia. You hold the rank of Civitate, which grants access to the Lower House and Symposium only.

Unlike in the rest of America, you can break freedom of speech here, but it's much easier to just say screw it and leave than it is in America, and if this site turns into the same old thing every other forum is, I know plenty of places with less stupid drama. I'm not going to go nuts about it, cause it's just an internet site, but just to tell you, I don't have to be here, and I've been here a lot less because of this crap.

Point here- Any of you that plan to act professional in regard to this, act professional. You're not freaking 14, many of you are in college, many of you are graduated and working...what the hell is this? If you're going to act like kids on this board, then maybe you should be questioning your maturity. I'm not putting forth any names or calling out anyone, I'm just saying, act as if you're talking to a group of people once in a while, which you just so happen to be doing when you post here. Ok, rant over, bye.

This act is unreasonable. Besim cannot include himself in the Curia because he would have to pay the price of being Ostakoned and many would support it.

I'm sorry but we cannot have a Syntagma both ways. Either we play by it, or we don't.

Garb, what Syntagma? I've seen it be painfully clear that there is no Syntagma except for the really nice square in Athens I saw this summer, and the Management has decided to subvert it.

Thus, since this Act is completely useless and only exists to appease the Management and not to advance the Curia as a body, I do not support.

No point figting a fight when no one benefits. The site is looking good and I have no doubt that the syntagma will be back in some form.

P.S. Not quite sure whats going on with my user groups here, I appear to be a civ... but I can still post here?

i believe your Civitate status is a hangover from having your senatorii rank removed (as it was for all senatorii, though it should be coming back). Currently Patrician is your secondary group (giving you access to the Proth) while Civitate is your primary (was formally Senatorii i assume)
