Default Hypothetical Seljuk units (14th & 15th centuries)

Since the Ottomans will not be playable, hypothetical high/late era Seljuk Sultanate of Rum units will probably be modelled after the Ottoman units. So I decided to share some 14/15th century Ottoman armor and illustrations. I will start with the 14th century first and continue with the 15th and Janissaries in the next posts.

15th century Ottomans (a few of them might be from 16th century but they are still relevant)

Chichak helmets appeared in the late 15th century and remained popular until the mid-18th century in the Ottoman Empire. It was also used by the Mughals in India, Mamluks in Egypt and some Eastern Europeans.

Chickak helmets are something I haven't seen any examples of from the 14th or the 15th century. I've only seen those in the 16th century. Where do people get the evidence of those helmets used in the 14th or 15th century? I think people get those helmets mixed up with the turban helmets.

Well, I'm not sure about the oldest known use of Chichak helmets but if you say so these helmets should be ignored. My mistake.

The helmet appears in Angus McBride's 15th-century-Ottomans illustration by the way.

Edit: apparently it dates back to the 15th century

I always imagine the janissaries to look like eastern people, forgetting that they were mostly drafted from greek christians, and would have more European features.

Most janissaries were of Balkan Slav origin before the decline of the devshirme practice in the 16th century.
