Default Most impartial magazine or website

Due to the progress my other thread made, I'd like to make this one about what is the most impartial of magazines? Meaning like the Economist, Times, etc, to any newspaper or website.

I'm looking for the most impartial one, that has the least bias and the least insertation of opinion and conviction in it.

Can anyone help me with this, or at least indulge in my fancy?

The Economist has a heavy libertarian bias, so not it.

I'd argue that the Times is just as libertarian. The New York Times and the magazine.

Can anyone help me with this, or at least indulge in my fancy?
You mean fantasy ? No political magazine/paper can be devoid of personal opinion. It seeps from the words of its writers...

    National Geographic.
It has bias, but not as much bias...I mean...
How can you biased reporting on the natural world in the socio-political sense?

I've never heard it accussed of any bias, whether conservative or liberal.

So what's the magazine that has a lot of conservative bias?

And I already have a subscription of Highlights, thank you.

No magazine is really going to be without bias, except of course kids magazines...

    The Weekly Standard unbiased?

They even say in their commercials that it's "influential in conservative inner circles," or something to the same effect with slightly different wording.

Got a subscription for that one too...

So... is it possible to read say, both the Weekly Standard and Times/Economist to get a good picture of the issue, with insight from both sides?

I ask because to get the best moderate answer, we have to look at both sides of the issue, from both sides of the political spectrum.

I'd agree "The Economist" is definitely quite non-partisan overall.

Pomposity and condescension pour from the pages of the Economist, particularly when discussing anything that isn't British.

Indeed. They all have potatoes up their asses. But normally, it's still a good read.

I disagree with the Times having a libertarian bias. For decades it has been said that The New York Times has had a liberal bias. Who is Bush always blaming for the intelligence leaks? The Times.

The Economist is not heavily libertarian biased. (different than liberal!) If anything, I'd say that they have a bias towards capitalism, as I'd seen them endorse some things that might rub libertarians the wrong way, although they seem to staunchly support free markets.

    don't you go to FU???

other than that, libertarians do tend to support capitalism or atleat the "lack of" in the sense that the less meddling of the government, or monopolies for that, matter is better off for the economy and ultimately the social welfare.

although, i won't go as far as saying that monopolies are as bad as the govermnet. Not saying that anyone here thinks that but... The goal of the economy is to promote "welfare" and as our society stands to day and understanding the concept of price discrimination in all it's degrees i'd take the private sector well over the gov, always.

i drank alot of carib tonigght, if that don't make sense lemme know
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Times/Economist do not represent the leftists, they are social and economic libertarians, whereas the American Democrats support restrictions on economy, and restrictions on social issues, whereas the Republicans support restriction on different social issues and (in theory) no restriction on the economy.
Time is a better pro Democrat magazine than the Times or the Economist.

I feel like I'm nitpicking here, but in my opinion, and that of many other people. the New York Times is quite liberal. Also, Republicans certainly don't support having a completely de-regulated economy. They do tend to favor smaller government which usually goes hand in hand with less economical regulations, but one look at the last election is enough to show that the priorities of Republicans are promoting social conservatism. Only some libertarians (Anarcho-capitalists) would support a completely de-regulated economy.
