Princess Constance and the Diplomatic Rampage
I'm not sure if it's because Princesses raise their charm faster or if they have more diplomatic clout, but I just started playing as France and Princess Constance seems to be winning an empire on her own!
It takes a few turns to get her around until you get to the Med, where you can sail her around.
Here's what she's done so far on a VH campaign:
Bought Staufen off the HRE for 5000 florins (even though their priority was war, and they had a full stack outside Metz.)
Exchanged Ragusa for an Alliance with Venice
Military Access from Spain & Portugal in exchange for alliances
Spanish Princess married to my Faction Heir, they pay 200 florins/turn for 12 turns
Bought Caen from the English for 9000 florins
Alliances with most neighbours for 200 florins/turn for 13-20 turns.
She starts the game with 5 charm, but it very quickly went up to 9 and then back down to 7 thanks to a secret love and an obsessed stalker. And this is all within 15 turns or so. And to think I was going to try to marry-poach Robert from the English!
Has anyone else found Princesses ridiculously effective? This is the first time I haven't married one off before she hit 22. They're staying single now!
