Have you guys tried it out yet? www.pandora.com

It works like this: you enter one artist/song name into the search engine and the database comes up with an entire radiostation with that style of music, based upon the rythm, instrumental choices, harmony etc. of that one song you entered. After that, you tell Pandora which song you (don't) like and it take it into account for the next songs.

It's very easy to use, provides you with enormous listening pleasure, draws from a seemingly endless source of music and broadens your musical horizons.

It's amazing, brilliant, any other superlative you can find and free!

The only tiny drawback: it doesn't do classical music. But it has anything else you could want.

We can use this thread to sing it's praises and to exchange radiostations and suggestions.
For example: for chill music while you're typing away at your papers, try entering "Cinematic Orchestra" and go with the flow...

It sure is a nice program! I prefer to listen to a radio channel that I know suits me fairly well, but this is great too!

Ps: I think it has already been posted here somewhere.

Yeah, we had a post about it ages ago, but oh well!

I've started using it loads here at uni, since I can't take all my CDs with me, and my HD is pitifully small, so Pandora works great. Not to mention the fact my tastes are changing somewhat lately, so its great for finding new bands.
