My first time playing MTW2 and having a ball of a time... until I embarked on my first crusade into the middle east.
I've gotten a foothold there and now I am caught in what seems to be a priests vs inams showdown. The clutter on the campaign map is really off putting and makes me feel like pulling out of the situation all together.



Does this happen everytime you step into the region? Anyway to solve this? I tried assasins but it takes forever before I manage a kill.

There is an option to show character labels if you think that might help. I use it but maybe that would frustrate you more. Maybe get an assassin's guild in Antioch by spamming out assassins there until you get offered one (make sure you have no other guilds there as its 1 guild per city). Assassin's guild helps a great deal with your chances.

Personally, other than having a bit of a struggle to select particular units, I wouldn't have a problem with this. Looks kinda cool actually, kind of like 'spiritual warfare' or something

Im in a similar situation, friggin annoying. I got 100 % Christianity and 4 Cardinals in my region, still they send an Imam to me and he manages to lower the percentage????? how can this be happening?? my 4 Cardinals with full piety doesn't manage to cope with one Imam?
I now have an army of assassins constantly killing them off but they keep sending them...so far i've killed 7 or 8 but they still dont get the message.

Yeah, if you have two priests/bishops/cards etc. and the Mozlems have 1 iman, your 100% higher number of religious guys should still make your religious percentage rise.

Hi I'm suffering from kind of the same problem only its a infiltration covert ops iron curtain kind of showdown. The french keep sending assasins to pamplona to kill every single character in that region. Hasnt bothered me yet though.
I agree with the other guy if it annoys you to much either ignore or turn of the follow ai characters option. But I am not shure wether you can do that midgame.

Yep, you can change that option midway through. It's in the same area as manage all settlements and no battle time limit.

I always turn off watching the AI because I hate having to watch all the little songs and dances diplomats and what have you go through.
