No phalanx mode for hoplites

Goodevening,

First off id like to say that i really enjoy this mod and it has made the rome 2 game actually fun for me. However i noticed that none of the hoplite units actually had a phalanx formation button. I tried both the steam and the standalone version and both have this. I alsoade several new games and also tried if recruiting new units or if later units would have the phalanx button, but they do not. Now i could understand it if it was removed, however royal academy specifies that they should have it and in my search for the answer to this question i came across many posts referring to their hoplites having that ability. So basicly, should they have no phalanx button or is there something wrong with my game?

All those abilities are removed. Holpites have the phalanx built into their standard formation

And the Royal academy have not been updated for ages and is not even kept by any members from the development team.
The AI is not capable of using abilities like a player is.

Thanks. It is disheartening to know that royal academy is not being updated since i do look there for information. Owh well, back to enjoying the mod. Thanks again, guys.

Considering the amount of work we put into the mod it would be tough to also maintain a webpage. Perhaps in the future we will make our own encyclopaedia but for now you can find alot of usefull info in the Manual [Scriptorium]
