Minas Ithil units from years ago

Hey folks

Years ago, I remember someone posted up some units for Minas Ithil; I believe they were a swordsmen unit, a cavalry unit, and a bowman unit (though there may not have been all three).
Does anyone know who did it, or where the thread is located? I thought it was here but I can't seem to find it.

I think it was intended to be implemented into a mod, but I can't figure out which one either. And I think I was an early release as some kind of Christmas gift to the community? But I can't remember. I could be wrong about that last part.

Note that it definitely isn't the Ithil Guards that I've seen in DaC 0.52. These guys seemed a little thinner looking if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think they were spearmen, and they were a little more black in texture...

At a hunch think you might be thinking of MESP, that IIRC (or at least according to what they once said they meant to) have Minas Ithil units:

Yeah... not the droids I'm looking for boss.

I remember... the thread and download for the handful of units was TATW (not sure what version at the time, it was before 3.2 though) compatible, even though they were meant to be added to their WIP mod. And it wasn't in the mod thread itself, but was a completely separate thread.

Note that they weren't ranger units or osgiliath units either, but were meant to be recruitable only in minas ithil/morgul after being reclaimed by gondor.

I also had a feeling it was DaC but when I ran a search for DaC Christmas, the thread didn't come up. I'm mystified.


Now, if I can ask some policy advice:
if I want to use a couple of them, for permissions do I try to track down those listed or ask the present DaC team?

I think it is because of the site upgrade that you can't find old stuff, next time try Google instead.

The creator Squeaks hasn't been online since April, so I suggest you to consult with present DaC team.
