Ending a no time limit seige ?

Other than quitting the game or sallying out to defeat the AI foe who has lost all his seige gear, is there any way to end a no time limit seige and not lose?

no but remember to change the setting back to 'time limit' when you start a new campaign.

Lure them in closer to your walls with a unit. Like a schlitstrommed group of spear militia, just put them outside your gates and their army will come running.

I lost a good army (most inf)to 3 stacks of Egypt Cav by coming out.
Defeated the first assault wave against my walls and then .....
Sit and wait.
Have n't all day so i came out on the open and was defeated.
"Oooh egypt, give me back my crusaders"
ore was it Varius ???

Open the gates by sallying with a single unit (but don't actually attack yet). Move that unit back once the enemy starts moving into firing range of the gatehouse. 9 out of 10 times the AI will leave its troops standing there, waiting for the automatic defenses to kill then.
