I got the game not long time ago (before was busy)...
And I started on Venice campaign.
I have receive some council of nobles missions..
But does Venice also receive any missions from Pope?
Or just English, Spanish and French receive more of those?

All Catholics recieve missions from the Pope.
I'm playing a Venice Campaign right now too. My advice for you would be not to take Durazzo or else the Byzantines will attack you no matter what (even if you are allied with them) within the first ten turns or so. Also keep Venice garrisoned very well. No matter what (even if you are allied with them) Milan and Sicily will try to sneak attack Venice.
If you are feeling aggressive take Florence the second turn. This will without a doubt act as a catalyst for Milans attack on you though.
I took Durazzo when I got the mission, and the Byzantines never attacked me. We were allies to turn 90 ish and I only attacked them as I lacked a few settlement and needed Constantinople. So this advice of yours might have merit in some games but not all. In my game the Hungarians were the ones that kicked Byzantine ass (together with Turkey), and it was the hungarians who first laid siege to Durazzo.
Oh I played Hard/Hard.
you receive missions from pope such as crusades. Sometimes the pope will ask you to stop hostilities against other catholic nations. That is considered as a mission to.
Um caruje, Snaga klade valja!!!
I tried two successive campaigns as Venice on very high battle and medium campaign, and I got my ass handed to me both times. Venice is fun because its at the center of a lot of action, but its tough because HRE and Milan seem destined to war with you, and its tough defending Venice against them. I've moved on to the english![]()

To keep the peace, you need a deterrent to aggressor nations. I find that if you garrison Venice enough it will keep the Milanese off your back as well as the HRE. In addition, if you keep Zagreb fortified enough and garrisoned heartily, the Hungarians will leave you alone and finally doing the same with Durazzo will keep the Romans (Byzantines) away. This is on H/H.
vh/vh - ALWAYS garrison Venice strongly, the second you dont then either Milan or HRE will kick your door in.
I've taken the beat down as Venice VH/VH but next time I'll play it safe and ignore those idiots on the council of nobles, and just build up my resources for 20 years or so, particularly my navy. Venice ain't worth playing unless you've got a fleet of half a dozen war galleys in Venice harbour waiting to transport your army around safely. I lost my main army in a sudden naval attack by HRE, rushing to rescue Ragusa after my adventures against Hungary blew up in my face. I lost the army, Ragusa and the game all in one move, basically.
Venice = strong navy or forget it.
I got backstabbed by Sicily in the early game and was too busy fighting both them and milan, and later HRE too, once i took the whole of italy i had enough resources to take over HRE and Milan. Byzantines were driven back by the hungarians and were too busy fighting the Turks.
