Hey guys and gals,
I've been away from dei and r2tw for a while, well since 1.0 tbh.
Just wondering what submods along with dei people are using and would recommend these days?

Try regular DeI, a lot has changed since 1.0.

I also play DeI without any submods. Some would recommend the hardcore submod if you want to increase the challenge a bit. Litharion is currently working with Magnar to produce a manpower system for both DeI and VV, which will be über kewlnot as a submod, and again this proves how submods is actually not necessary

DeI is great without any submods. I will take any and all opportunities to praise Kam's work on unit balancing: everything feels right now, even pikes, for the most part. The AI is decently aggressive, especially on VH campaign difficulty, but not to the Shogun 2 level that made diplomacy impossible. The only submod I use right now is one of my own that rebalances mercenary costs to make them more expensive to hire and cheaper to maintain.

Im using gem and epic music, also if your in the mood for a challenge use the hardcore mod by Dresden.
Ahh, yes, GEM is a must if you have good enough PC and music mods also bring the game to completly new level![]()
