    Default Spy training

Why is it that a Spy can get an experience bonus for carrying out a 100% success rated mission?

I have master spies crawling the map and asassins that couldn't gut a fish.

Also, the spy movies that come up are rubbish when you know he's going to succeed. They're great at carrying the tension when it isn't 100% though.

True, and they level since a successful mission is still a successful mission, he learns none the less even if he is 100% guaranteed to not get booted out, just not as quick a learn as a lower chance.

What I'm thinking is - and this can apply to all the other agents - is that in reality you learn most from mistakes. That's even in the list of 'loading' quotations, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

The tendency in this game is that most agents start at rock bottom and stay at rock bottom, unless you either are very lucky or you look for easy targets. So you either use assasins to carry out missions that have nothing to do with your objectives (killing imbecile diplomats and ugly princesses from factions you couldn't care less about), or you don't use them at all.

It would make sense if, for example, an Assassin spent 10 years of his life trying to off a particular general, but as the years go by his chances get lower. Yet this wouldn't be because the assassin is losing skill, it's because the General and his bodyguard get more careful with each attempt. If that Assassin were to be reassigned, that 10 year mission should be a positive experience to skill.
