    New climate Iberian: Subtropical to identify the Spanish Peninsula. I wont lie, this was pretty difficult to get right and I'm still not entirely positive its reasonably accurate, but the colour scheme and environment in general is pretty good so I'll probably stick to this until I find something better. I studied several photos of Spain but some quirks are simply impossible to reproduce with this engine so unless I start modelling mountain passes by hand this is the closest you get.
    I've added quercus suber (cork oaks) for summer and quercus pyrenaica (pyrenean oak) for winter to make a bigger distinctionsince the vegetation distribution params are way too sensitive and there's no way to have specific couples of trees in specific places only.
    I've added silver fir, coupled with the oaks, which will transition (hopefully) seamlessly when you move back to the Pyrenees.

    Here's a pretty exciting update. I am very happy to showcase some screenshots of the new climate\environmental achievement, "Carpathian Sub Alpine". I wanted to recreate one of the most beautiful and big mountainous zones of eastern Europe, focusing on the Carpathians and their neighbouring valleys.
    I have added silver fir typical of that area, and took much care to represent the features of the terrain as close to reality as possible. It was much more difficult than expected, I think Spain was easier, which is really an understatement at this point. So bear with me, I am excited to show a little more than just 2 screenshots. I'm especially fond of how well the forests turned out.

    This area will extend from the Pyrenees, to portions of northern Italy, to the Baltic mainland, Romania, Silesia and Poland.

    Right now playable factions are: France, Britain, Austria, Prussia, Russia, Wurttemberg, Bavaria, Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of Naples, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Saxony.

    Poland is not playable initially because the mod starts in 1806. Napoleon will have to incite riots in Warsaw to help the Polish people rebel against the Prussians and get back their land.

    Spy



    The Priest is also present but its basically a recoloured version of the spy. I want Priests (renamed as Propagandists) to be able to change political orientation of the population very slowly to either the Coalition or the Bonapartist side. You'll also be able to build a "temple" type building to enforce State Press and convert people a bit faster, amplifying the effects of either agent.

    I didnt use the original map because its too small. My map has central Europe as its focus and its way bigger and more detailed.

    Speaking of which, I've been having fun testing lakes lately. The map itself is nearly done, but now the final tweaks need to be applied around its main features. I've spent the last two weeks adjusting heights and rivers and adding lakes. Some of them include:

    Garda lake, Italy




    Constance lake, Switzerland, entering the Rhine





    Geneva lake, entering the Rhone




    As you may have noticed now the size of the mountains and plains is considerably more realistic.

    This may take a while. I'd say 2 to 3 months. While this is going on, I'll finalize the campaign map AI which has already been partially implemented using code snippets from SkynetAI (made by Z3n) and my own adjustments to fit the Coalition and Bonapartist forces.
