    Simply the tag of "subfaccion" in the "spawn army" of the "campaign_script" file, don't have any effect. Ignores it the label.

    I can only confirm: the subfaction tag is not used with regular spawns (never seen it) and it gets ignored as well with regular factions: I used my script from post #11 and replaced slave with France - the result were 8 French armies with the default French strat model.

    I'm more looking at the name issue. In post #11, as you said you replaced slave with france and got 8 french armies, but if you replaced slave with france and used a subfaction only name (i.e. for the second army is you assigned a specific england only name) as opposed to random_name what is the result?

    I created a unique name for england in descr_names and text\names and used that:

            spawn_army
                faction slave, sub_faction england
                character    Gigantus, named character, age 38, x 207, y 178
                unit    Billmen            exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
            end
    
            terminate_monitor
        end_monitor
    Didn't display - not even an empty color bar where the name would be. Made an overlay from first selecting the faction character and then the slave character.




    Gave the name to the French leader - no display.
    Used the following (descr_strat) slave faction entry and got the name displayed (see pic below):

    character    sub_faction england, Gigantus, general, male, age 26, x 209, y 178 
    army
    unit        Spear Militia                exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit        Spear Militia                exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit        Crossbowmen                exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    unit        Crossbowmen                exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
    Changed the sub faction entry to france and again no name display.





    Added the name to the slave faction and still no display for the captain, named character displayed correctly - used 'display names' for pic.






    Summary of slave name use (else no display):
    script - from slave faction's list
    descr-strat - from sub faction's list

    Good to know. Sometimes I spawn invisible temporary characters but the name (if they're toggled on) is a bad look, even if it's just ".".

    I just had a closer look - there is a small color bar visible, just couldn't see it properly because it is grey\semi-transparent.

    In short, if I want appears a rebel army of Arab culture, I have to add a new trait level for general strat_model, battle model and portrait...

    Yup, spawned rebels are default everything: culture, battle model, strat model.
