These are nice images, but you need to delete them because they are copyrighted by Osprey Publishing ;/
@ Faman: Osprey pictures may not be posted on this forum for reasons of copyright claim
No! Bad! No Osprey! I've already seen them a million times!
Small Update to Sweden tier 1. I'll work on general bodyguards later, and start production on tier 2.

Excellent job!
Looks good. But a little too Swedeny in the overall color scheme, huh?
You guys should really make a choice on having factional color schemes or not, cause right now there's no uniformity in this sense, only personal preference of the specific faction developer.
Ofcourse it looks very nice but it dissappoints me that there are no more coats of arms

@Filips, thanks
@Sarcasm, it helps visually in gameplay. I haven't ignored other colors either, but I like keeping a semi color theme. Colors are natural, and the heraldry is actually what convinced me to keep a yellow-blue color theme. I've encouraged other developers to keep a slight color theme.
@Locus, you're not looking hard enough.
Sure, but there is a difference between having certain recurring colors sprinkled throughout and almost exclusively using two or so colors for all units. I think you could add some more diverse colors and still keep a clear theme. Having more diverse and realistic colors is one of the greatest things about this mod imho and really sets it apart from the color schemes that we saw in vanilla M2TW where every faction had only two or three colors exclusively.
That is because the other repetitive color themes are not as bright as the two main color themes (and they are natural realistic colors); therefore, you only pay attention to those two colors because they contrast on a gray scale to everything else you see. If you look with a careful eye, my units possess a range of different colors. It'll all look more correct as soon as we implement a different shader apart from vanilla (Aztec's shader mod for example).

I have done the exact same thing with Norway, and I have yet to see anybody nag me for it. The difference is that the choice of colors I have given Norway were more saturated and they blend in with the other colors well.

I know you, personally, like to keep a certain color scheme, my point was not in favor of one thing or another (though I prefer without it, or not to this point), just the lack of consistency between factions in that sense. It's definitely not about nagging, and I had definitely noticed this in other factions you've done.
Just some food for thought I guess.
Since you are talking about it, I am a huge EB fan...and one thing back in 2000s I loved was how they got rid of the faction colors. I never thought I'd get so much more immersed that way.
Is this form of national colouring realistic in that sense? I know medieval armies were probably a lot more colorful with heraldry and stuff but I am a fan of all units looking similar which makes them feel more "human"![]()
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

@dogukan, I can argue that local availability of cheap dyes can play a uniform sense in armies. However, I try to apply faction colors where it makes sense and in taste. It is not obnoxious in faction colors like most total war games.
@Sarcasm, everybody does their work differently. I can only influence certain decisions, but the majority of this project is for the fun of it. If I spontaneously spam units for a lot of factions, it'll look as if my team members aren't keeping the theme. This is an ongoing project, and I'm sure stuff will get changed constantly.

I know what you mean, I've been a part of mods before. And I know that sometimes it's hard to keep an internal logic going in a volunteer-based project. Maybe the easiest route would be to do away with themes altogether if you can't hope to enforce it anyway. From a personal viewpoint, I'd understand a certain logic in coloring, in particular with the non-noble troops, but not troops that rely a lot on heraldry.
Again, not exactly criticizing, just some things to consider on the subject.
BTW, that King Eric household looks great. I'm a sucker for the blue.
That grey shield of "spear bondir" looks strange.
