Default Not Able to find Units

I am trying to create several submods for DEI, the one I am having the most difficulty with is one that changes the weight of units to reflect their armor and formation density, for example Skirmishers would weigh least, then naked/no amror loose units in light, then lightly armored units in medium, then no armor hoplites, chainmail loose units, and more heavily armored units in heavy, armored hoplites, cavalry with horse armor, legionnaires in very heavy, and cataphracts, and elite hoplites in super heavy. The problem I am having is that the names for some Germanic units either do not match, or I am otherwise unable to find them such as Proven Spearmen whom I am unable to find under that name or the DEI name for them. I find this irritating as said units are very heavy but are in loose formation and wear little armor yet are heavier than many units of higher density and armor. If I am wrong in that they are labeled correctly in a table that would make sense such as barbarian or 11 and I am just being blind would someone be able to tell me as that would be helpful.

So, to make our Suebi update save compatible we had to use existing units from our previous suebi overhaul from very early in the mod's history. Because of that, the db names for our German units are confusing.

The absolute best way to figure it out is to look at the unit description texts for these units, either found in the Barb_ , DeI_, Germnew_ or _11_ unit text description files. It is confusing, trust me I know - as someone who has to fix things I constantly wonder what unit corresponds to the db name.

The other way is to look at the various classifications, animation entries, weapon entries, etc for the units.

Those weight descriptions does not matter at all for combat. They only affect unit deployment phase. There are other values for real unit weight and they are assigned per unit gear already.

Ah ok, I was under the impression that unit weight influenced speed, bonus in charging and ability to resist charges. Thanks for your help.

It does, but what you look for is in battle_entities table, there look for mass value
