nerd-meta-nerds
Just read the following passage on one of my fav blogs, and it reminded me of some of the posters in these forums;
"There's always a group of "fans" that get their rocks off more on disapproving of the thing they're a fan of than they do on actually liking it. (See Star Wars "fans", for example.) These are the worst kind of nerd--the self-hating nerd who tries to prove that they're not a nerd by talking about how everything else is too nerdy for them. They are, in this sense, a new form of nerd--meta-nerds. They are nerds about being nerds. They supposedly hate something so much, but are still paying enough attention to everything about it to be motivated to write long screeds against it on the internet."
Sounds familiar to anyone ? By the way, I'm obviously in favour of pointing out bugs and suggesting tweaks to some features. This is addressed to the posters -- and you know who you are -- who constantly disparage M2. "Get a life" seems to be the message here
