Default Want to trigger Civil War. Tips for raising influence?

I am currently playing Rome. The requirements are:

    Civil War Variables
    Low Chance: 60% Influence
    Medium Chance: 70% Influence
    High Chance: 80% Influence

For the life of me, I am struggling to get anywhere near 60% influence to trigger Civil War. I really want that Republic/Empire faction buff that comes from winning the Civil War.

I only use my Party's generals to win battles, I send opposing parties' generals on suicide missions so they die, I "Secure Promotion" whenever available, etc etc.

I'm really using every tool there is but I'm struggling hard to raise influence above 60%.

Is there something else I'm missing? Could I simply mod this myself to lower the influence required?

You really need to top off your imperium level I believe. Other than that you're on the right path but careful if you only use your family members as generals. They will rebel.

If you want to trigger it early, reduce the "civil_war_low_chance_multi_power" to whatever your current influence is, this will give you a low chance of a civil war starting.

At normal difficulty you will only have a 1% chance per turn of the civil war happening, if you want to ramp that up, then increase the "civil_war_low_chance_normal_chance" that is currently 1 (1%) to whatever number you want, if you change it to 100, then it will be a 100% chance of the civil war starting.

Pretty sure that's how it works, I haven't touched it for some time.

Edit.... just remember to change it back or you will continue to have civil wars.

Edit... One other thing, if you have a favourite General, send him back to Rome and place another General in charge of his army, as there is a chance that he may go rebel if out in the field.
