Black screen appearing during large battles

When i usually play a large battle, usually two full armies plus a navy, about 20 minutes into the battle, the screen goes black after freezing for a few seconds, and all i get are the sounds. the game is still going, i just cannot see it. Is this an issue my end or just the games? would you recommend downloading your decreased unit diversity submod to reduce the load on the graphics card?

I run all graphics settings on extreme. have a 2gb Nvidia GTX 770
I notice when i use the task manager, that the game is using about 2 gb of ram, would this be the issue? the game not being able to use 2gb of ram or more? would i have to use the large address aware application to allow this? thankyou.

I only had it while I was running Aztec graphic mod.

You can also post a screenshot of your graphic options, we can work something out, since before my PC upgrade I had GTX 570 1gb, which was overheating during playing Civilization 5 and I was still able to modd DeI ; P

i got the bug when i was attacking athens. here are the graphics settings.

I had this bug too. Where have you fought your battle ?

Because in my case I always had this black screen in Iberia, I have no idea why xD

I experienced the same issue!

In my campaign it always happened in siege battles, usually with two armies and a navy vs the enemy.

I think you should reduce to "ultra" the trees, shadows, grass, water and sky. Maybe it will help you in battles.
