Game freezes

Hi.I've got this big problem but only with this mod I was really enjoying my roman campaign and there was no crash until I had to play a massive battle - around 8000 or more soldiers total.During the battle performance is low and there are some lags but generally it's playable until the complete freeze happens.The only solution is to restart the pc because nothing , literally nothing else works.I've had this freezes in the custom battles too so I'm not really sure what causes this.My pc is above the recommended requirements and I've had such large battles in vanilla. I'm playing on ultra details so performance is the issue in such large battles but it shouldn't freeze like that....

You cannot compare your performance in vanilla with this mod. We add a whole lot of unit textures which puts extra pressure on your system. Lower your graphical settings or get a better rig just lowering the settings might be the easiest and cheapest solution

Yeah I know that DEI is much more resource damanding I only hope that this is the problem.Either way thanks for the answer - I'll try lowering the settings and report back if it helps.

I know that Rome II is very strange when it comes to settings. Some set to ultra can actually make your game look worse and perform worse.
