    Default So...yeah...

    Hey,

I've seen a few videos on YouTube about 1212 AD and was pretty enthusiastic to try it out and play...but I can't find the game anywhere. It's not in the Steam Workshop under any sane name that matched with "Medieval Kingdoms Total War" "1212 AD" or "MKTW". Is this mod out yet? If yes, where can I download it? If no, what's the latest on its update? I'm not seeing anything that's an easily recognizable answer to my questions yet so I decided to make this thread.

    Cheers.

Actually I Google-searched it and it brought me directly here, so I didn't catch that part.

Damn you Google and your context free search results!

If only there were a sticky thread at the top of the forum which stated:

That sure would clear up a lot of confusion

Not sure if you already knew this, but if you have Rome 2 you can play custom battles with an early release of this mod.

When this mode can be played? It is under construction?

Where can I download this mode?

    Thank you

Still under development. As above post says no planned release date. The Developers have released some copies to Youtubers to show the mod on there channels, also probably a bit of play testing as well. It's still in "closed Alpha". Like most mods ready when it's ready. Although you can play the Medieval mod on Rome2, this is brilliant, although there is no campaign feature just custom battles I play this more than the actual Rome 2 with the Ancients.

Like most folk I'm eagerly awaiting this mod, especially with Crossbows and all the added factions, really fancy playing a "War of the Roses", I thought the addition of Cannon and handguns a great move, but please don't make them to accurate, this I suppose was the dawn of the gunpowder age. Anyway best of luck and take your time.

Good attitude! That was my reaction when I played the Rome 2 version of the mod. I thought I could just improve the faction symbols. I ended up with a lot more stuff to do now.

I would volunteer my services but since I dont know anything about graphic design or modding unfortunately. Kind of a shame since I've lurked on these forums for the better part of a decade....well if you need someone to test something (lolol) don't hesitate to shoot me a PM and I'd be more than happy to help! Good luck and fantastic work so far!

After 94 min on steam using Blender (it's free) I went from this to this, thanks to this. Unfortunately, I don't think my model fits into the mod. I'll just have to convince Warman that English tea cups was side-arm accessory for all English Longbowmen.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

It's not difficult to learn how to use Photoshop for texturing or use Blender or 3D modeling. The only real requirement is to be diligent in learning how to create what you want and to involve yourself in projects.

It` s never too early for a nice cup of tea. It` s tea time ! Who knows, maybe those brutish yeoman archers did serve some tea before engaging those shiny french-men.
    Nice cup btw

They have the most recent public build available on moddb here:
    http://www.moddb.com/mods/medieval-k...-build-updated

Just unzip the .rar and move the Medieval_Kingdoms.pack file into your steam directory for Attila (normally at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila\data).

Then you just boot up Attila, and in the launcher for the game go to the Mod Manager, check enable out of date mods, and the mod will show up.

Is it a total conversion, as in campaign? Or is it only for custom battles?
